I apologize again for not posting the past few days. I just started working again, plus school holidays and visiting friends and family made it impossible for me to take a break long enough to write. I hope you’ve all been doing well!
Today’s topic: a hero
February 23, 2012
Thank you for everything you do. Because of you, I’m able to write on this blog. Because of you, I’m able to get an education. Because of you, I’m able to pursue my dreams. Because of you, I can have a job of my own choice. Because of you, I’m able to believe what I want as well as act on those beliefs. Because of you, I’m free.
If there was one person that needed more thanking than anyone else, it would be you.
Thank you for your willingness to fight for MY freedom. You deserve so much more than you’re given. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
There are often times I find myself ungrateful for the freedoms I’m given in this country, but then I remember you and all you’re doing for me, my family, my friends, their family and their friends. Then I remember how blessed I truly am to live in the United States.
I’ll say it a thousand times as long as I get my point across – thank you.
Better than honor and glory, and History’s iron pen,
Was the thought of duty done and the love of his fellow-men.
